Australia’s primary industries working together on climate change
Facilitating collaboration and cross-sectoral research to address the challenges of climate change for Australian primary industries.
The Climate Change Research Strategy for Primary Industries (CCRSPI) is a collaboration between the rural research and development corporations, the state and territory governments, the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, and the CSIRO. CCRSPI partners work together to share their unique knowledge and experience to shape research investment to address issues posed by climate change.
CCRSPI aims to improve the national climate change RDE capacity, effectiveness and prioritisation for primary industries in Australia by:
- identifying research priorities and opportunities for cross-sectoral research activities
- encouraging and facilitating collaboration and co-investment between CCRSPI partners
- engaging with policy-makers to communicate climate change research priorities
